Awesome Con 2019 was average unlike last year. Not a lot of people show up on Saturday. Maybe Sunday and Friday was the best. Well technically I brought Saturday day one ticket. Although I didn’t go to Batman 80 years but I got to meet Tara Strong. Tara Strong is one of my favorite female voice actress. She is known for Bubbles (Powerpuff Girls), Twilight Sparkle (My Little Pony) and Raven (Teen Titans). Tara Strong Q & A was conflict with Batman 80 years panel. I wished there were different times. Anyways, I was mostly in the game room checking out some retro games and indies. The indie that intrigue me is #BLUD and looks like a cartoon. There were others like Grumpy Witch, Valley of Shadow and Crescendo. All of these indies are well-crafted and fun. I have signed up for betas and email mailing list.
There is more indies games to share. Frightshow Fighter made a appearance and remember covering this indie. I got a hands-on experience and really enjoy it. Osunia was a prototype and plays like Harvest Moon. Sneaky Ninja was cute and casually stealthy fun game. The game is coming to Nintendo Switch soon. Here is a flash from the past. Atari Adventure is recreated to have multiplayer. Do you remember the game from Ready Player One? Now, there is more players can play instead of one. Mega Cat Studios booth was mind-blowing with recreating NES and Genesis games. Check out these guys and other indie developers I have mention. There are some indies I have played last conventions that appeared at Awesome Con.

Remember your goal is to find a cure of Immortality, My overall experience with Neon Abyss is vibrant and fun game. The soundtrack is techno-ish and crispy graphics. Although, it’s a beta version but it’s look amazing with lighting fast action. The weapons design is humorous and down-right rocking. I can see this game have replay value due to routes. Neon Abyss gives players control of their playstyle. I am hoping to see more of this game. It kind of reminds me of Enter the Gungeon for some reason. Support Veewo Games and play the demo. Neon Abyss will release in Q2 2019 and join Discord channel. Add this game on your Steam Wishlist and visit the website.

What is the problem with video game live action movie adaptations?
Video game live action movie adaptations becoming stalagmite throughout the years. In the early 80s movies have been booming with action-packed, drama and love story. When it time to make a video game adaptation. Developers get little time to prepare it. They want to release it before or after the film. Normally, these adaptions get mediocre reviews and little recognition. Directors and producers cut some parts of the source materials. Want to create their own iteration of the film. The first movie adaptation is Super Mario Bros film (a very bad one). Super Mario Bros is based on the same name of the Nintendo game. In the movie, there is no Mushroom Kingdom but an unknown underground city. This film is notoriously bad and consider the worst video game adaptation ever.
Mortal Kombat film was average and faithful to the source material. The acting was subpar and the characters were portray well. Mortal Kombat: Annihilation was awful with their CGI animailty and abysmal fight scenes. Street Fighter (1994 film) was another cult following movie. Where Raul Julia’s character M.Bison says (of course!). I think the movie is better than Mortal Kombat and Super Mario. Ryu is not the main protagonist but Colonel Guile (Jean-Claude Van Damme). Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li was the hero in this movie. I have watched Street Fighter but no The Legend of Chun-Li. In my opinion Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist web series is the best out of both. The web series explore Ryu and Ken past with their master Gouken. Later on Street Fighter: Resurrection is based on Street Fighter V and both series is on Machinima.
