Blerdcon 2019 Taste the Black Nerd Magic Experience.

Blerdcon 2019

Blerdcon 2019 was very special to one of my family members. She made history on during special effects makeup. If you want to follow her at @mermaids_eatplants on Instagram. Check out her amazing designs and may come to a con near you. Anyways, my experience going to Blerdon. It’s was awkward and seesaw-ish. I lost my Samsung Phone in my family member boyfriend’s car on Saturday. It’s was a bummer and my pockets was short. Lucky, I found it by Sunday and snaps some photos. I took a photo of a Black Ariel from The Little Mermaid. Representing Halle Bailey’s casting choice for playing live action Little Mermaid. It was great to see African American cosplaying as their favorite characters. This year was lit and slamming with light-hearted energy. There was special guest such as Estelle who voice Garnet on Steven Universe.

Beau Billingslea who known for voicing Jet Black from Cowboy Bebop. Also Fourth Raikage from Naruto and Digimon’s Ogremon. One last guest Actress Rachel True known for Mona Half & Half. There are cosplayers like Papa Bear, Cutiepiesensei, Cin’Von Quinzel and Shaina West. The artist alley had great showcase of work. Dealer Room had Extra Life, Magfest, Honey Sweet Studio and MoonKittyArt. Gaming at Blerdcon 2019 was a great experience. I played Samurai Shodown 2019 for the first time. It plays the same as the older ones. If I buy Samurai Shodown 2019 video game, hoping I will drop a review. I had tried the new characters like Wu-Ruixiang, who wield a shield in battle. Wu is a great character to use for distance playstyle.

Super Smash Showdown IIII

Here we go again with another tournament from Capital Underground at Inclusive Innovation Incubator . It’s called Super Smash Showdown IIII and I compete in the tournament. I played Super Smash Bros Ultimate at Awesome Con 2019, it’s was a fun game. At Super Smash Showdown III have 20 players and an entry fee $5-10 dollars. The event had free play while setting up for the tournament. Note: This is Capital Underground 4th Super Smash Bros tournament. I signed up for the tournament with my streamer named “AnjimPlays”. Didn’t want to use my real name at all. There were a lot of people than Mortal Kombat 11 tournament a week ago. Gamers brought their Nintendo Gamecube controllers. Some have Pro Controllers for the Nintendo Switch. I brought my siblings and friends to the event. They didn’t compete in the tournament because of the entry fee.

Inclusive Innovation Incubator Super Smash Showdown III

When the tournament starts I faced off against some good players. I used Bayonetta, Fox and Bowswer Jr. Of course I loss and won one match in the loser’s bracket. After that loss, I watch some players that are insane with Jigglypuff, Mega Man, Palutena and Donkey Kong. There were some DLC characters used like Joker from Persona 5. The rules was 3 stocks and no hazard stages. We had to play rock paper scissors to pick the stages. The stages were Final Destination, Pokemon Stadium and Battlefield. There were some flashy action pack matches. These players brought their A game to this Super Smash Showdown III tournament. There were some button configurations and technical difficult during the tournament.

Awesome Con 2019 – 80 Years of Batman Goodness

Awesome Con 2019 - 80 Years of Batman Goodness

Awesome Con 2019

Awesome Con 2019 was average unlike last year. Not a lot of people show up on Saturday. Maybe Sunday and Friday was the best. Well technically I brought Saturday day one ticket. Although I didn’t go to Batman 80 years but I got to meet Tara Strong. Tara Strong is one of my favorite female voice actress. She is known for Bubbles (Powerpuff Girls), Twilight Sparkle (My Little Pony) and Raven (Teen Titans). Tara Strong Q & A was conflict with Batman 80 years panel. I wished there were different times. Anyways, I was mostly in the game room checking out some retro games and indies. The indie that intrigue me is #BLUD and looks like a cartoon. There were others like Grumpy Witch, Valley of Shadow and Crescendo. All of these indies are well-crafted and fun. I have signed up for betas and email mailing list.

Awesome Con 2019 - Mega Cat Studios booth

There is more indies games to share. Frightshow Fighter made a appearance and remember covering this indie. I got a hands-on experience and really enjoy it. Osunia was a prototype and plays like Harvest Moon. Sneaky Ninja was cute and casually stealthy fun game. The game is coming to Nintendo Switch soon. Here is a flash from the past. Atari Adventure is recreated to have multiplayer. Do you remember the game from Ready Player One? Now, there is more players can play instead of one. Mega Cat Studios booth was mind-blowing with recreating NES and Genesis games. Check out these guys and other indie developers I have mention. There are some indies I have played last conventions that appeared at Awesome Con.
