If you want know the backstory of the Rescue Rangers, watch five-part episode “Rescue Rangers to the Rescue”. The episode features Fat Cat and Professor Nimnul who are the recurring villains of the show. Fat Cat is featured in Robocat, which I will take about in the minute. I have watch Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers 2022 movie and it was amazing. Basely, it’s a continuation of the TV series that ended in 1990. There was alot of cameos and Easters Eggs like Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers NES game. Along with Ugly Sonic which was pretty funny and awesome who developed put him in the movie.
Back on topic, Lets talk about about episode Robotcat shall we. Robotcat starts off went Chip, Monty, Zipper and Gadget is chased by Robotcat. While Dale playing video games inside a workshop and Chip yells at him for not helping. After Rescue Rangers defeated the Robotcat, Dale wants the cat to become friendly, so he puts a video game cartridge to reform it. Chip goes against the idea on the Robocat wanted to become good cat. Meanwhile, Fat Cat wants to steal a wealthy man pet fish, but was unsuccessful. Back in the Rescue Rangers hideout, Robotcat wanted to become a real cat and needed fur. Rescue Rangers takes Robocat out and was discovered by Fat Cat. Fat Cat reprograms Robocat to do his bidding and betrays the Rescue Rangers. Rescue Rangers is looking for Robocat and last seen breaking into wealthy man house again, stealing the fish.
The group was too late and wealthy man guard dog tells Rescue Rangers, he needs him from them. Guard dog goes to find his owner to find the good fish. Wealthy man’s son goes with him to find the fish. Meanwhile Fat Cat tries to eat the fish but Rescue Rangers foil his plan. In the sewers, wealthy man and his dog see Robocat saves his life. Dale switch the Commando video game cartridge to Friendly Cat one. Robotcat is back to normal and found a new owner to take care of him. Wealthy decided to let his son keep him because he was not allergy to the cats (due to it being metal). The Rescue Rangers happily files off and see the kid enjoying Robocat and mission accomplish. Overall, thoughts on this episode, it takes issues from right and wrong.
Along with people talking advantage of you just like Fat Cat. I am not a cat person myself but some people love them. This episode does pay homage to Chip n Dale NES video game. I remember playing NES back as a kid and blow on video game cartridges. It’s a typical finding a lost pet story and nothing new. You know robot wants to have human feeling but people have to teach them. I am not a huge fan of Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers but saw some episodes during The Disney Afternoon. Theme song is what makes the show more enjoyable and still slaps. In preparation for the new movie, I had to revisit the show. The show is still great and worth watching if you haven’t seen it during 80s or 90s. Chip is the leader, Dale provides comedy along with Gadget brings smarts and Monty loves cheese.
Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers is available to watch on Disney Plus along on Dvd on Amazon. Play NES version of Chip n Dale on The Disney Afternoon Collection.
